Born and raised in New Orleans, Cherie Teamer Henley is a graduate of Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication with minors in African American Studies and Political Science. During college she worked as the clerk for the Louisiana State House Insurance Committee and as a legislative aide. Cherie attended Tulane University Law School where she received her JD among many other distinctions.

Cherie has experience as a political consultant focused on municipal campaigns, land use and municipal zoning, as well as community organizing. She is also a licensed practicing attorney with Davis, Johnson, and Teamer Attorneys, a small practice which gives Teamer Henley the ideal environment across her multiple platforms to focus mainly on clients and issues.
